This renewal application is intended for certificate holders with a certificate that is at least one day expired but not more than 2 years expired.
To verify the status of your certificate, please use the verification tool available on our website: https://www.nhcocert.com/verification/
A total of 30 Continuing Education (CE) hours is required for this renewal application. Applications cannot be approved without CE documentation, and work hours, employer letters, or similar documentation cannot be accepted in place of CE hours.
Please ensure your 30 CE hours are completed through one of our approved providers. After completing your hours, obtain the summary report or transcript from your CE provider, as this documentation must be uploaded with your renewal application.

Please note:
- CE hours must be completed within 6 months of your renewal application submission date.
- You have 60 days from the date of purchase to submit your renewal application with approvable documentation and receive approval.
- The 60-day timeframe begins on the date the application is purchased.
We encourage you to submit your application as soon as your CE documentation is ready to allow sufficient time for processing and approval.

Please ensure you are purchasing the correct renewal application, as we have a no-refund policy on our renewal applications. Failure to make a correct purchase will result in the denial of your renewal application.
Renewal guidelines include:
- Applications will be reviewed within seven (7) business days, and an approval or denial notification will be sent to candidates via email.
- If renewal requirements are not met, candidates will have thirty (30) days from the denial notification to address outstanding requirements.
- Approved reissued certificates will be sent via email.
- Renewal denials can be appealed within thirty (30) days of notification.
The CPT Renewal Application fee is non-refundable.
